Westport Town Hall Theatre is hosting a one-off screening of ‘Katie’ and a post-show discussion of the documentary with its creator, Ross Whitaker. The film, which has been getting rave reviews, follows Irish champion boxer Katie Taylor as she tries to rekindle her career after a year of setbacks.

Whitaker’s previous documentaries include the acclaimed ‘Unbreakable: The Mark Pollock Story’, and the stunning ‘Between Land and Sea’ which looked at surfing culture in Lahinch, and featured champion surfer, Mayo man Fergal Smith.

The film starts at 8pm; admission is €9
