DESCRIPTION:Westport Gran Fondo\, Saturday\, 13th April 2019\n\n Westport Gran Fondo is a one day cycling event and is the first of its kind in the Republic of Ireland. \nWestport Gran Fondo is taking place on Saturday 13th April with 2 exceptional routes catering for those who would like to Race Like a Pro ( Gran Fondo 122km) or taking in the breath taking scenery on a leisure cycle & give it a go ( Medio Fondo 70km) with your friends.\nBoth events are chipped timed with winner‘s jersey’s up for grabs. \nFollowing on from a very successful 3 years\, Westport Gran Fondo is heading into Year 4 where an expected 1\,000 cyclists will take part.\nWestport Gran Fondo is the 1st Gran Fondo in the Republic and under the direction of our Race Director Paul O Brien this promises to be a fantastic sporting & social occasion. \nWith 2 routes to choose from\, you can race like a pro or just take it slow… you decide! \nGran Fondo:\n122km – Difficult terrain which includes the iconic Sheffry climb and the beauty of Glassilaun and Tully Cross. \nMedio Fondo:\n70km – Moderate terrain which includes the stunning Aasleagh Falls and the iconic Sheffry climb. \n2 Events…you decide! \n\n
