DESCRIPTION:Westport Arts Festival is a celebration of the Arts  in September/October every year. The programme is always different\, interesting and exciting and we promote as many local artists as possible along the way. \nThe Westport Arts Festival was founded in 1975 \n“for the purpose of bringing the best of Musical and Dramatic Entertainment to the town for one week concurrent with an exhibition of Art Works – the latter to be arranged with James White of the National Gallery”. \nNow in its 39th year the Westport Arts Festival has gone from strength to strength. It is an entirely voluntary organisation\, from our dedicated production team to the volunteers checking tickets on the door. Our volunteer’s dedication to the festival ensures that we can create and deliver a genuine welcome to our audiences both from home and abroad. \nThe devoted committee work all year round striving to source top quality performers and events to bring to Westport. This year promises to be one of the best yet with an exciting\, quirky and diverse line-up of the finest acts and events. We have ensured that every aspect of artistic endeavour is represented during the 10 day festival. Music\, literature\, dance\, visual arts\, theatre\, film\, comedy\, children’s\, free and family events…it’s all here in Westport! \n  \n
