Mayo \nP: 094 9029136/144 \nE: fundraiser@westerncare.com \nClare Island\, County Mayo: \n “Take the ferry out from Roonagh and wave all your cares goodbye” – The Sawdoctors \nThe Clare Island Annual Charity Walk provides a great opportunity to visit the idyllic ClareIsland\, CountyMayo and experience the beauty and scenery of the island and ClewBay.  Recently shortlisted as one of the five finalists in the Best Place to Go Wild in Ireland by the Irish Times “You won’t find a better location to be in tune with Mother Nature and her elements. The island has the perfect natural features for almost every outdoor activity.  Barring the presence of electricity and motors\, ClareIsland has changed little in 100 years. Activity- oriented: from guided walks to horse whispering\, to snorkelling and nature-friendly\, it has all the qualities of a ‘wild’ destination but with amenities to suit all travellers.” \n  \nWalk Details: \nThere will be several routes taken to various points on the Island\, each led by one of the organising committee.  None of them will be more than 10km … You can do as much or as little of any of the routes as you like\, and you can also bring a bicycle if you so wish!!  The Island Community will host a reception for all participants before they take the ferry back to the mainland. \nThe Cause – Western Care Association  \nWestern Care is a community based organisation that provides support to more than one thousand children and adults with intellectual disabilities and their families throughout CountyMayo – see www.westerncare.com for further details \nCharity Number: CHY 5578 \n
